Senior Footballers draw LONGFORD

Carlow Senior Footballers discovered their qualifier fate this morning when the draw for the All Ireland Qualifiers Round 1A was made as they now head off to Glennon Brothers Pearse Park to take on Longford. The game will take place on June 20th and both sides know all about each other having played already this year in Div. 4 of the National League. Jack Sheedy’s men brought their good league form into the Championship as they saw Offaly off in Rnd. 1. Their joy was shortlived however as they suffered a heavy beating from Dublin next time out so both teams now head into these qualifiers with something to prove.

The full draw is as follows:

Round 1A (matches take place on June 20)

London v Cavan
Loser of Kildare/Laois v Antrim
Longford v Carlow
Waterford v Offaly

Round 1B (matches take place on June 27)

Tyrone v Limerick
Louth v Leitrim
Loser of Armagh/Donegal v Loser of Meath/Wicklow
Loser of Wexford/Westmeath v Down

The first team in the list of fixtures above has home advantage and matches will take place on Saturday, June 20 and Saturday, June 27. The CCCC will confirm fixture details later today.
