Scor Ceatharlach

Meeting of Comhairle Scor Laighean on Wednesday September 6th in Portlaoise Chaired by Katherine Noone Westmeath and Aine Kennedy of Wexford as Runai

Chairman of Comhairle Laighean Jim Bolger Carlow also attended the meeting and gave excellent support to the Scor Competitions

There was a strong request from the Leinster Scor Committee supported by all counties present that they would like to see Carlow take part in Scor na nOg and Scor Sinsir once again. Counties pointed out that Carlow was very strong in Scor competitions in the past and produced great talent that held their own with the best.

Tommy Murphy representing Carlow said moving forward that he would bring the message back to all the clubs adult and juvenile and ask each club to make a special effort to ask people to help organise Scor in their own clubs and widen their horizions.

He said that this time the main emphasis would be on preserving our culture, heritage and traditions with fun and enjoyment for one and all.

It was pointed out by the Chairperson and Secretary of Comhairle Scor Laighean that they are willing to come to talk and help any club or clubs on how to set up Scor

Chairman of Carlow Co Board Sean Campion will make a special effort to form a Scor Ceatharlach committee which will manage and run the affairs of Scor Ceatharlach

The officers and committee members will come from each club in the county.

Many clubs in Carlow over the years gave great enjoyment and entertainment meeting people and making great friends from Scor.

We ask all clubs to start motivating and acting on this in their clubs, and if possible to submit a name or names as soon as possible so a committee can be formed.
