Carlow GAA wishes to extend its sympathy to the Ryan family of Kilkenny hurling lore on the passing of Johnny Ryan. The father of Lester, and brother to Lester Ryan Leinster GAA, tragically lost his life yesterday in a farming accident. Kilkenny have withdrawn from the Walsh Cup as a mark of respect and so the match v Carlow is cancelled this Sunday. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
